Few people know that when the emotional side of them is suffering, that it also affects their physical health. For example, there are those people, that when confronted with very anxious situation, often blacks out or become temporarily blind. Or some people might even lose their hair when placed in a stressful condition for a prolonged period of time. This goes to show that emotional health of a person plays a very significant role in the person’s physical health.

It is a tall order to take care of our emotional and mental health. Even if a person realizes that it is good to relax once in a while and pamper one’s self with lives simple pleasure, doing pleasurable things can somehow be a tough thing to do. One can actually find peace in shopping therapy, but may become guilty in doing so, and will just think about putting off the things that makes them have emotional peace. While there are also people, who would not want to spoil themselves with food when they are sad, for the fear of getting fat. On one end, there are people who will just try to ignore and diminish the emotional pain in them hoping that it will somehow go away with the flick of their fingers. However, these people are not really addressing the main problems that have been bugging them. In reality, they are even compounding the situation that they are at by taking a blind eye with their emotional problems.
